01 — A definition
Grotesque is not ugly.
It is beauty that escaped its instructions.
I use the word grotesque for images that resist perfection: elegant and awkward, deliberate and accidental, familiar and impossible.
The work begins with an idea, a composition, a color tension. Then I invite the unexpected—the strange proportion, the misplaced object, the texture that spreads too far. The rule breaks. Something alive appears.

This site is the result of exploring what becomes possible when experience meets a tool that does not fully understand the rules. I work with MidJourney and ChatGPT as creative partners—not to replace my eye, but to surprise it. AI Grotesque is my name for the space between direction and discovery.
